OpenOffice 3.0 beta - Malayalam Testing Report

As I had blogged on earlier, while testing the OO 3.0 beta rpm (lang-pack also) from the openoffice.org website, there is a problem of text not being visible on the screen. But the OO 3.0 beta from Fedora rawhide has no issues and the text we input or copy and paste is very much visible. Hence today tested OO 3.0 beta with the following fonts with the help of test cases available at: http://fci.wikia.com/wiki/SMC/Rendering_Tests.

1.Lohit-Malayalam (typewriter)
2.Meera (traditional)
3.Dhyuthi (traditional)
4.Suruma (traditional)
5.Raghu Malayalam (typewriter)
6.Samyak Malayalam (typewriter)

Words that rendered improperly in Lohit-Malayalam:
1.ഉല്‍പ്രേക്ഷ
2.വിഗ്ദ്ധ്രോ
3.സ്റ്റ്രൈക്ക്
4.സബ്സ്റ്റ്രേറ്റ്
5.സംസ്ക്കാരം
6.സമ്പ്രദായം
7.സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം

Following are the words not rendered properly in Meera, Dhyuthi, Suruma, Raghu and Samyak:
1.ഉല്‍പ്രേക്ഷ
2.വിഗ്ദ്ധ്രോ
3.സ്റ്റ്രൈക്ക്
4.സബ്സ്റ്റ്രേറ്റ്
5.സമ്പ്രദായം
6.സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം

Screen shots are available at: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/peter.ani/OO3BetaMalayalamTesting

The most important thing I noticed for traditional script fonts:
1.Samvruthokaram not working.
2.The conjuncts with 0D30 are not appearing in traditional script
